🌳 Moral Story 5: The Kind Boy and the Puppy.

One day, a small boy named Laxman was walking home from school. On the road, he saw a little puppy. The puppy was hungry and weak. Laxman felt sad. He thought, “If I help this puppy, it will be happy.”

Laxman went to a shop and bought some bread with his pocket money. He gave the bread to the puppy. The puppy wagged its tail and ate happily. From that day, Laxman always gave food to the puppy whenever he saw it.

After a few weeks, the puppy grew strong. One evening, Laxman was playing outside. Suddenly, a stranger came near him. The puppy barked loudly and scared the stranger away. Laxman realized that his kindness had returned to him.

Moral: Kindness always comes back. Helping others makes the world better.

Word Meanings

    1. Hungry = Needing food (भूखा).

    2. Weak = Not strong (कमज़ोर).

    3. Pocket Money = Small money given by parents (जेब खर्च).

    4. Wagged = Moved the tail quickly (पूंछ हिलाना).

    5. Stranger = A person you don’t know (अजनबी).

Hello Readers,  Well, understanding numbers goes beyond just recognizing digits; it involves knowing their Face Value and Place Value concepts, as they are essential for arithmetic, reasoning and competitive exams. Let’s explore these concepts in detail. What is Face Value? The Face Value of a digit in a number is simply the digit itself, irrespective of its position. It does not change based on placement within a number. For examples,  - In numeral 7,853, the face value of 8 is 8. - In numeral 46, the face value of 4 is 4. Thus, we can say that, the Face Value remains constant. What is Place Value? The Place Value of a digit depends on its position in the numeral.
