Hello dear students! Today, we are going to explore the first chapter of our EVS book titled Vital Parts of Our Body, where we will learn about the wonderful parts of the human body and how they work.
Our body is like an amazing machine made up of many different parts called organs. Some parts are on the outside, like our hands and eyes, which we call external organs because we can see them. Other very important parts are hidden inside us, called internal organs.
In this chapter, we discover six vital internal organs that keep us alive: the brain, which acts as the "control center" for everything we do; the heart, which pumps blood to every corner of our body; and the lungs, which help us breathe in fresh air. We also learn how the stomach and liver work together to turn our food into energy, and how the kidneys act as filters to clean our blood. By understanding these special organs and following healthy habits like eating nutritious food and chewing it well, we can keep our incredible body machine running perfectly every day!

2. Organs (Or-gans) — अंग
Examples:
1. Our body is made of many different organs.
2. Eyes and ears are external organs.
3. Internal (In-ter-nal) — आंतरिक
Examples:
1. We cannot see our internal organs from outside.
2. The brain is an internal organ.
4. External (Ex-ter-nal) — बाहरी
Examples:
1. Hands and legs are external body parts.
2. We should keep our external organs clean.
5. Skull (Skal) — खोपड़ी
Examples:
1. The skull protects our brain.
2. The bones of the skull are very hard.
6. Inhalation (In-ha-ley-shun) — सांस अंदर लेना
Examples:
1. Inhalation brings oxygen into our lungs.
2. Take a deep breath during inhalation.
7. Exhalation (Ex-ha-ley-shun) — सांस बाहर छोड़ना
Examples:
1. Exhalation helps to remove carbon dioxide.
2. Your chest contracts during exhalation.
8. Chambers (Cheym-bars) — कक्ष

1. Organs
Our body works like a machine. It is made up of different parts called organs. They are classified as:-
A. External Organs: The parts we can see and touch from the outside (e.g., hands, legs, ears, nose).
B. Internal Organs: The parts located inside our body that we cannot see (e.g., brain, heart, stomach).
2. Six Vital Internal Organs
A. The Brain (The Control Center)
It is located inside our head and is protected by a hard bone called the skull.
Function: It controls all our body movements and helps us think, learn, and remember things.
B. The Lungs (The Breathing Helpers)
We have a pair of lungs in our chest.
Function: They help us breathe.
Inhalation: Taking in air rich in oxygen (lungs expand).
Exhalation: Giving out air rich in carbon dioxide (lungs contract).
C. The Heart (The Pumping Station) It is located in the chest and is about the size of a closed fist.
Function: It pumps blood to all parts of the body through tubes called blood vessels.
The heart has four sections called chambers. D. The Stomach (The Food Processor) It is a J-shaped bag where the food we eat is collected. Function: It breaks down food into a simpler form. This process is called digestion. E. The Liver (The Largest Organ) It is the largest internal organ in our body. Function: It helps in the digestion of fats and cleans the blood by removing harmful chemicals. F. The Kidneys (The Filters) We have two bean-shaped kidneys. Function: They act as filters to clear liquid waste from our blood and turn it into urine. 3. Healthy Habits for a Strong Body To keep our internal organs working perfectly, we should: Eat a balanced diet full of nutrients. Chew food properly to help the stomach digest it easily. Exercise regularly to keep the heart and lungs strong. Drink plenty of water and avoid overeating.
